Zentab is a no-clutter home for your guitar tabs. No ads, no pop-ups, no autoplaying anything — just clean, readable tabs that load instantly and follow you to every device.
Sign in once and your whole library is accessible anytime, anywhere. Upload your own tabs, tidy them up with the built-in editor, track which sections you've nailed, and group songs into collections for rehearsals. Everything is built to stay out of your way so you can spend less time scrolling, and more time playing.
Upload your own tab as a plain-text .txt file. Then hit Save tab.
Download every tab in your library as individual plain-text .txt files, bundled together in a single ZenTabLibrary.zip.
Note: Best for reading, printing, or sharing your tabs — these .txt files can't be re-imported into Zentab, only re-submitted.
Feel free to download a backup of your library at any time, or import a previously exported backup!
Note: Best for moving your library to another device — the .json backup re-imports here and keeps your progress, tuning etc.
Permanently erase your account and every tab and collection you’ve saved. This can’t be undone.

Zentab is a personal tool for reading and organising guitar tabs. We keep the amount of information we hold about you to the bare minimum needed to run the service, and we never sell it or use it for advertising.
Tabs you upload remain your own. They're stored privately against your account so only you can see them — they are not published on zentab.ca, not added to any shared or public database, and not used anywhere else. You can remove any tab at any time, and it's gone.
You can delete individual tabs whenever you like. You can also delete your entire profile from the My Profile page, which permanently erases your account along with every tab and collection you've saved.
Accounts and saved tabs are stored using Supabase, our hosting and database provider, which holds the data securely on our behalf. We don't run advertising trackers and we don't sell your data to anyone.
Zentab uses your browser's local storage only to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences (such as your theme and your saved library on this device). We don't use any advertising or tracking cookies.
To show album artwork next to your tabs, Zentab looks each song up in Apple's public iTunes Search API, which means the song title and artist name are sent to Apple. No account details or other information are shared, and the artwork is cached on your device. You can turn this off any time under User Preferences in My Profile.

By using Zentab you agree to the following. Zentab is a personal tool for reading and organising guitar tabs, provided free of charge.
You're responsible for keeping your password safe (as your account is currently irretrievable if you forget it) and for activity on your account. Sign-up exists only so your library can sync across your devices.
Tabs you upload remain yours. By uploading a tab you confirm you have the right to store it for your own personal use. You can remove your tabs at any time, and deleting your profile removes everything you've saved.
Please only upload genuine guitar tabs as plain-text files. Don't upload anything illegal, harmful, hateful, or abusive, and don't misuse the service. We may suspend or remove accounts that break this.
Where Zentab reformats a tab pasted from Ultimate Guitar, that content belongs to Ultimate Guitar and the original songwriters. It is reformatted for your own personal reading only.
Zentab is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We may change, pause, or discontinue features at any time, and we aren't liable for any loss arising from use of the service. Please keep your own backups of anything important (you can export your library from My Profile).
Where Zentab is headed. Nothing here is a promise — just what we're hoping to build next.
Put a section name in [brackets] on its own line — e.g. [Chorus] — to make it trackable. Leave [ch]…[/ch] chord tags as they are to keep chords highlighted.
Sign in to sync your library across your devices.
Add this tab to a Collection.
